Our Mission

The Moment Before prepares people for the moments that matter most.

The Moment Before is a human performance consultancy built on a simple belief:
exceptional performance begins long before the moment itself.

Drawing on the principles of professional actor training, we help individuals and organisations prepare with greater awareness and intention so they can communicate clearly, lead with presence and perform at their best when the stakes are highest.

At the heart of our work is the Haque Method, an original human performance methodology developed through more than two decades of work across executive education, professional actor training and creative practice. By integrating actor training, coaching, storytelling and experiential learning, we translate preparation into practical behaviours that people can apply directly in real conversations, presentations, leadership moments and performances.

Our work spans executive coaching, leadership development, storytelling, executive presence, behavioural simulations, difficult conversations and experiential learning for multinational corporations, government agencies, universities, creative organisations and individuals. Whether preparing for a keynote, navigating conflict, leading change, building a team or stepping into an audition, we equip people with the frameworks, practice and feedback to think more clearly, connect more deeply and perform more effectively under pressure.

How to Ace Your Next “Performance”:
The Power of The Moment Before

Most people think performance begins when the moment arrives.

The interview. The presentation. The difficult conversation. The meeting that matters.

But Kamil Haque believes the real performance begins long before we step into the room.

A professional actor, director, educator and coach to executives, leaders and performers around the world, Kamil has spent more than two decades studying what helps people show up with clarity, presence and purpose under pressure.

In this TEDx talk, he shares a practical framework for preparing for the moments that matter most. Drawing from professional actor training, leadership coaching and the Haque Method, Kamil reveals how awareness, intention and preparation can transform the way we communicate, lead and perform.

Because the moment itself is rarely where performance begins.

It begins in the moment before.
